Before we started the Big Sister 1-2-1 mentoring sessions at the Sir William Stanier School we organised an outdoor group activity session for the girls and their Big Sisters.
What did we achieve? Well, we all got wet, for a start!. One of the activities involved pouring buckets of water into a big steel tube – with holes in it – while trying to dodge the rain showers. But it turned out to be a great way for the girls and Big Sisters to get to know each other (coutesy of the MMU Outdoor Team at the Crewe campus).
Fun was had, new skills introduced and the programme kicked off on a note of challenge and exploration. The next time we hold an event like this we have been promised kayaking, so expect more wetness!
