Girls Out Loud Foundation

Raising awareness & raising funds

Our mission at Girls Out Loud is to encourage teenage girls to find their voice, their mojo, their truth. Our dream is to be there for every girl that puts her hand up for help, whether she just needs a bit of motivation, a Big Sister to talk to for a few months or maybe more of an intervention to help her make some frame-breaking changes and stop repeating damaging patterns of behaviour. All our programmes are created and facilitated by professionally trained coaches and we harness the love and support of a wealth of volunteers, ambassadors and corporate partners.

If you are moved by our work and would like to support us in making the world a better place for the next generation why not join our team of volunteers and/or become a Big Sister

As a social enterprise delivering programmes to young girls between the age of 12 – 16 we must raise every penny of our delivery costs, overheads and development before we can help anyone.

We do this in a variety of ways including grant applications, corporate and business engagement activities, brand partnerships, legacy funding and personal donations. In 2013 we set up a Foundation to increase our charity activities.

Our Foundation

The Girls Out Loud Foundation is a charitable fund administered by Forever Manchester, the Community Foundation for Greater Manchester (charity no. 1017504) on behalf of Girls Out Loud CIC. We set this up in 2013 as the funding environment became more challenging and we recognised the need to have charitable status for some companies to support our work and we realised we were missing out on gift aid!

So if you are a tax payer this means via the Just Giving programme we can claim 25% gift aid from the Government on any money you raise for us and Companies can claim tax relief by deducting the value of their donations from their total business profits before paying tax.

It’s now easy peasy to get involved and help us raise money to support a teenage girl and/or a school in the UK. Decide what you want to do – run a 5k, host a cake sale, abseil down your local townhall, host an event or an auction, organise an event in your home or at work or sit in a bath of baked beans! Then set up your own Just Giving page and harness your network to support your activities to help our girls in need.
