Raising awareness across the media

Girls Out Loud – In The News

Girls Out Loud featured heavily across the UK’s broadcast media this January. Our founder Jane Kenyon was interviewed by 400+ TV and radio stations including BBC North West Tonight, ITV News, Sky News, Talk Radio and Radio 4’s Today programme, raising awareness of the dangers facing our most vulnerable and at-risk teen girls right now.

She warned about a ‘lost generation’ of teenagers due to lockdown and school closures; highlighted the growing concern for our teenagers’ mental health; talked about the reversal of a decade of progress on social mobility; and highlighted issues around safety for our teens both at home and online.

Jane’s passionate rallying cry reached more than 20 million people and catapulted the Girls Out Loud cause into the headlines. Below is a summary of the broadcast coverage generated.
