Guidelines & JustGiving

As The Girls Out loud Foundation is managed by Forever Manchester, when you set up your Just Giving Page it must be directed to them, however it is important your donors know you are raising money for Girls Out Loud and not the wider Forever Manchester Fund so here are guidelines on setting up your page:

1. Go to https://www.justgiving.com/campaigns/charity/forevermanchester/girlsoutloud and click on the Start fundraising button. This will take you to the JustGiving sign in page. Please sign in here or if you do not yet have a JustGiving account click on sign up to enter your details and create a new account.
2. Once signed in you will be taken to the Girls Out Loud, run by Forever Manchester activities page. Now select the most appropriate option from the icons available to match your chosen fundraising activity.
3. On the next page Select the type of event or appeal from the drop-down menu and then type in your Event name, you can then select the end date or event date of your challenge.
4. Next, select the page web address, you can select the address given automatically by JustGiving or create your own to match your fundraising event. It’s up to you!
5. You can claim Gift Aid from your donations as long as you are not asking for goods, services or other benefits in exchange for those donations. If applicable, please do select ‘Yes, my page can collect Gift Aid’ as this will raise even more money for Girls Out Loud.
6. You then have an option to be kept informed by JustGiving about your fundraising and future fundraising options. Once you have selected Yes or No you can then Click on the blue Button at the bottom of the page to ‘Create your page’
7. A new window will pop up to congratulate you on setting up your page. Please select ‘Personalise’ at this stage. You can now set your fundraising target and complete the page summary section with ‘What you are doing……………….For Forever Manchester and why in the ‘because’ box …………………………
8. The next section is Your Story. Please delete the pre-written text in this box “Forever Manchester is a…… and replace it with the following copy and then hit the ‘Save Story’ button: The Girls Out Loud Foundation is a charitable fund administered by Forever Manchester, the Community Foundation for Greater Manchester (charity no. 1017504) We are passionate about raising the aspirations of teenage girls in the UK. We do this by creating and delivering early intervention programmes in schools from 2 hours to 12 months in duration. Our core philosophy is about connecting girls to real female role models and we do this via our school events and 12 month mentoring programme called BIG SISTER. 9. Next go to the top of the page and select the Media tab. You now need to insert the Girls Out Loud Logo at the top of your page, replacing the Forever Manchester Logo that is currently featured. Firstly download and save our logo to your computer from the following link: Girls Out Loud logos then click the ‘Change cover’ button and the ‘Upload your Image’ button. Select our Logo from your computer files and it will then be uploaded, Click save to add our Logo to your page.
10. If you would like to add any additional pictures to your page about your event you can do so in the next section ‘Add a photo’
11. Finally go up to the top of the page and select ‘Settings’ you will then see your automated Thank you Message. Please edit this to replace Forever Manchester with Girls Out Loud. Of course you can also add any other personal thank you message you may like to at this time, then click ‘Save   Message”.
12. Your page is now up and running and ready to share via social media! Just hit the ‘share’ button.

At the end of your event Forever Manchester will collect all the funds you have raised and add on the relevant gift aid and then transfer all the money to the Girls Out Loud Foundation.
